Ingredients
Salisbury Steak Meatballs
- 1 bag (26 oz) frozen meatballs (about 30–35 meatballs)
- 2 cups reduced-sodium beef broth (see notes)
- 1 packet brown gravy mix
- 1 packet onion soup mix
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
Corstarch Slurry
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch (see notes)
- 2 tablespoons cold water
Instructions
- Prep your slow cooker: Spray the inside of your slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray to prevent the meatballs from sticking. You can skip this if you’re using a slow cooker liner.
- Add the meatballs: Dump your frozen meatballs into the slow cooker. No need to thaw them—just toss them in straight from the freezer.
- Make the gravy: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the beef broth, brown gravy mix, onion soup mix, ketchup, and Worcestershire sauce. You want everything to be well combined with no lumps.
- Pour and stir: Pour the gravy mixture over the meatballs and stir gently to make sure the meatballs are evenly coated.
- Cook low and slow: Cover your slow cooker with the lid and set it on LOW heat. Let the meatballs cook for 5-6 hours. Your house will smell amazing as they simmer away!
- Thicken the gravy: Once the cook time is up, whisk together the cornstarch and cold water to make a slurry. Stir it into the slow cooker and let everything cook for another 10 minutes or so, until the gravy has thickened.
- Serve and enjoy: Serve these delicious Salisbury steak meatballs over mashed potatoes or egg noodles. A sprinkle of chopped parsley adds a fresh touch and a pop of color.

Serving suggestions: the perfect cozy dinner
When it comes to serving these Salisbury steak meatballs, I love pairing them with creamy mashed potatoes—they’re perfect for soaking up all that savory gravy. If you’re in the mood for something lighter, egg noodles are a great option too. Either way, a side of roasted veggies or a simple green salad works beautifully to round out the meal. For a garnish, fresh parsley adds a burst of color and brightness.
