Ingredients
- 1 pound salmon filet (skinless), cubed into 1-inch pieces
- ½ teaspoon kosher salt
- ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
- 3 tablespoons butter (melted)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 3 garlic cloves (minced)
Instructions
1. Season the salmon
Start by cutting your salmon filet into 1-inch cubes. Toss the salmon cubes in a mixing bowl with kosher salt and black pepper. Make sure every piece gets evenly coated. (Pro tip: Pat the salmon dry with paper towels first to help the seasoning stick better.)
2. Make the buttery garlic-lemon sauce
Add melted butter, lemon juice, and minced garlic to the same bowl. Toss gently to coat the salmon. Don’t rush this step—the more evenly the sauce coats the salmon, the better the flavor will be.
3. Air fry the salmon
Line the basket of your air fryer with a liner or foil. Add the salmon cubes in a single layer, making sure they’re not crowded. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 5 to 7 minutes. If you’re working with a smaller air fryer, cook the salmon in two batches to avoid overcrowding. (Overcrowded salmon = steaming instead of crisping.)
4. Serve with style
Once the salmon is done, drizzle any remaining garlic-lemon butter sauce over the top. Trust me, you’ll want every drop of that sauce on your plate. Serve these bites on their own or as part of a larger meal.
Notes
This recipe is incredibly easy to adjust based on how many people you’re feeding. For two people, use half a pound of salmon and scale the other ingredients down accordingly. For a larger crowd, double or triple the recipe, but keep in mind that you’ll need to air fry in batches to maintain that crispy texture.
